Barrie M Brown - Chairman

Barrie Brown is an experienced and respected company director. Barrie was a partner for 25 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was head of Business Advisory Services. Throughout Barrie’s career he has worked with a diverse range of medium sized and large businesses and in particular has been advisor to a number of New Zealand’s more prominent property investors over a very lengthy period.

Barrie has held directorships in both public and private companies. He is currently Chairman of Waterman Holdings Limited, a diversified industrial company. He is a Director of Bayleys Real Estate’s property investment vehicle Investment Property Titles Limited, a director of Allenby Holdings Limited, trustee of the Sir Edmund Hillary Trust, and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand.

Roger J Kerr

Director and one-third shareholder of Asia-Pacific Risk Management Limited.

Roger Kerr is widely regarded as one of New Zealand’s leading professional advisers and commentators on local/international financial markets, the New Zealand economy and corporate treasury risk management. Roger has over 25 years merchant and investment banking industry experience, and has been closely associated with the changes and development of New Zealand’s financial markets since 1981.

Roger advises many Australian and New Zealand companies in the specialist areas of foreign exchange risk, interest rate and funding risk and treasury policy/governance matters. Roger is a member of the Institute of Directors and ICANZ, Board Chairman and Fellow of the Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand Inc (INFINZ), Advisory Board Member of the New Zealand Government’s Debt Management Office, Board Member of the National Provident Fund and Board Chairman of Trust Investment Management Ltd.
Roger has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Canterbury.

Gary Fitzpatrick

Gary Fitzpatrick has been employed by the Guardian Trust Company Limited for the last 9 years in varying roles.  He is now based at the Company's Remuera Branch, as a Client Manager, managing the portfolio's of some of the Company's high net worth clientele.

Gary's background brings to the Board in excess of 25 years experience in the Trustee Industry, where he has specialised in the administration and management of Estates and Trusts, as well as other Trustee Services.

He has held directorships of private companies, and he is currently Vice President of the Estate & Taxation Planning Council NZ Inc.

William Somerville

William Somerville is a lawyer and accountant who retired as a tax partner from Pricewaterhouse Coopers in 2003 and having previously worked for a major law firm and for an international film company.

William is a director of Trust Investments Management and a trustee of the Melanesian Trust and Objectspace. He is also a member of the New Zealand Film Commission and Chairman of the Auckland City Mission and Artspace.

John Button

John Button is Managing Director of wholesale distribution company, R L Button. In addition to being a long-standing member of the Auckland City Mission Board of Trustees, John was involved with the Workforce Auckland Incorporated Board for 20 years, 17 of these as Chairman. John was also an active member of Rotary for many years.
